Micromall Solar Warranty Policy
At Micromall Solar, we are committed to providing high-quality solar products and installations. Our warranty policy is designed to give you confidence in your investment, while complying with all relevant New Zealand consumer protection laws.
⸻
Standard Warranty
We stand behind the quality of our products and services. Most of our solar components, including MPPT controllers, pure sine wave inverters, and similar items, come with a 12-month standard warranty. If a fault occurs, we will evaluate the issue and provide an appropriate solution — repair, replacement, or refund — depending on the severity.
• The warranty covers product defects only and does not extend to indirect or consequential losses.
• Our goal is a simple and straightforward claims process, with easy returns and replacement parts where applicable.
• Minor replacement tasks that do not require a certified technician may be carried out by the customer under guidance.
⸻
Extended Warranty
Certain products and manufacturer ranges include a 24-36-month manufacturer or parts warranty. Specific terms for each product are clearly indicated on the relevant product page.
• Warranty claims are subject to the terms in effect on the purchase date.
• Even after the warranty expires, we will make reasonable efforts to provide parts and support for repairs, though any associated costs may be passed on to the customer.
⸻
Long-Term Coverage (5+ Years)
For products with warranties exceeding 5 years:
• Coverage applies strictly to parts replacement or product replacement.
• Labour, travel, or other associated costs are not included and are the responsibility of the customer.
• Any service, installation, or repair required after initial installation will incur additional charges.
• Unless otherwise stated, this provision applies to all long-term warranties.
⸻
Warranty Exclusions
The standard and extended warranty do not cover:
• Service calls not related to product faults (e.g., installation corrections, user guidance, household wiring).
• Damage caused by improper use, accidents, neglect, or Acts of God.
• Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or minor imperfections not affecting functionality.
• Damage from pests (rats, insects, bird etc.) or environmental events (storms, floods, earthquakes).
• Repairs performed by non-authorised personnel or unauthorised modifications.
• Transportation, delivery, or travel costs outside Micromall Solar’s authorized service areas.
• Routine maintenance as outlined in the product manual.
⸻
Installation and Workmanship
• All installations must be performed by qualified and licensed technicians.
• Installations must follow industry standards, including pre-installation inspection and post-installation testing.
• Failure to inspect for defects before installation may limit warranty claims.
• Electrical installations require a licensed electrical worker and appropriate compliance certificates.
⸻
Non-Transferable
• Warranties are valid only for the original purchaser and cannot be transferred.
